Re-Verification of Afranga Accounts: What You Need to Know

Ensuring Continued Compliance and Security with Lemonway

At Afranga, the security of your funds and the compliance of your account are our top priorities. As part of our ongoing partnership with Lemonway, a regulated European payment institution, we are implementing a mandatory re-verification process for all existing investors.

This initiative follows EU and French regulatory requirements related to anti-money laundering (AML) and the prevention of terrorist financing (CFT). It ensures that all Afranga investor accounts remain secure, transparent, and fully compliant with European financial standards.

Why Re-Verification Is Required

Under Articles L.561-2 and following of the French Monetary and Financial Code, and in accordance with EU Directives 2015/849 and 2018/843, Lemonway is required to verify the identity and legitimacy of all individuals and legal entities opening a payment account.

These requirements are designed to:

  • Ensure ongoing compliance with European AML/CFT legislation;
  • Verify the identity and legitimacy of account holders;
  • Protect investors and platforms from fraud and misuse;
  • Maintain the integrity and transparency of the financial system.

As a licensed payment service provider, Lemonway is supervised by the ACPR (Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution) in France — the same authority that oversees major European banks and financial institutions based in France.

What This Means for Afranga Investors

Existing Afranga investors are required to complete the new Online Onboarding process provided by Lemonway.

You have already receive a personalized email from Afranga containing a secure link to your re-verification form. The process is quick and straightforward:

  1. Click the personalized “Re-Verify Identity” button in the email.
  2. Review your pre-filled information and update any details if necessary.
  3. Submit your information to Lemonway for verification.

Once you complete these steps, your account will remain fully active, and all Afranga features — including deposits, withdrawals, and investments — will continue to function as usual.

Deadline: 15 November 2025

Please make sure to complete your re-verification before 15 November 2025.

After this date, accounts that remain unverified will be temporarily restricted:

  • Deposits, withdrawals, and new investments will be disabled;
  • Loan repayments and bonuses will be held until verification is completed.

Once the process is finalized, your account’s full functionality will automatically be restored.

Authenticity and Security

This re-verification is an official, legally mandated procedure conducted through Lemonway’s secure onboarding platform.

  • Lemonway is a licensed payment institution, operating under EU financial regulations;
  • All data is processed securely in compliance with GDPR and European data protection laws;
  • Afranga will never ask for your login credentials or request personal documents outside Lemonway’s official verification system.
